1957 Neue Haas Grotesk emerges from the Haas type foundry. Its name was later changed to Helvetica for the international market. This neutral typeface is still widely used by designers around the world. Just look around – it’s everywhere!
1962 The ‘Campbell’s Soup Cans’ images are created by Andy Warhol, pioneering the integration of market culture into the world of art. All because he loved having soup with his mum.
1989 Terence Conran establishes the Design Museum. From its beginnings the Design Museum championed creative thinking and inspired problem solving, celebrating the talent of the world’s best designers and architects.
2006 The launch of Zone Design. OK, so it may not go down in the annals of history but in terms of design we reckon we’re making our mark. Established with just three people huddled around a couple of Macs, we have since grown in size, skill-set and innovation.
